The rest of the day as I said was laid back.  Got things done around the apartment, Skype with my family, walked around the park, and ended the evening with a frozen pizza and “Tower Heist”.
One thing I feel that I have learned so far with our adventure to the Northwest is the importance of prayer.  While I obviously knew before that prayer was important- it is heightened in times of driving through mountains, moving far from home and being in need of a job.  While God is in control of everything and has the power to do anything my hope is that while in Seattle my prayer life is not always a list of needs or wants but the desire to change.  There are so many things I need to change in myself to become more like Christ that it is overwhelming.  There are still so many unknowns of how we will accomplish what we feel God is calling us to- but I do know that I can seek the Lord in prayer about these things and that when I pray them in Jesus’ name- that’s it.  There is nothing more I can do once you have asked the Most High for help.  So I hope I can become a prayer warrior, not just for myself but for those around me here in the Valley and those back home.
Thankful for: feeling genuinely welcomed at church
Tomorrow brings Josh’s first day at Starbucks- it will be a quick first day of paperwork- but still the beginning of something new.  Please pray for his new job.  His co-workers, his walk to and from work, and that his boss would be favorable to his unpredictable ministry schedule.
Glad to hear rough weather missed most of you- so sleep well my friends!
